Hospitality vocation training program for refugees

The International Rescue Committee in Atlanta, in partnership with the Intercontinental Hotel Group, is offering a new 4-week (@ 10 hours/week) Hospitality vocational training program for refugees interested in careers in the hospitality industry.

The program is free to participants, including all materials and transportation. The course is based on training curriculum developed within the industry, and includes a practicum in a hotel. All participants who complete the training are guaranteed a job interview at the end of the course, with academy graduates having preference for placement in IHG hotels.

Referrals to the program are welcome; all candidates will be screened. Successful applicants will :

- Be able to commit to the course for 4 weeks, Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 2:00pm

- Have at least an advanced beginner’s command of English

- Attend the pre-course orientation session

- Be motivated to work in hospitality
